Our Story

My name is Delia, and until 2019, I spent fourteen years in corporate finance. I was the person with the spreadsheets, the five-year projections, the quarterly forecasts. I was also absolutely burnt out. One Thursday in early 2019, I had a nervous breakdown in a client meeting and realized I needed to do something completely different. So I did what I’d been fantasizing about for years—I quit and opened a flower shop.

The timing felt crazy, but it worked. I moved back to Nashville, where I grew up, and set up shop in East Nashville, in a neighborhood I’d watched transform over the past decade. The area’s got young families, artists, people who actually care about where they live. I figured if I was going to start over, it should be here, among people who’d appreciate what I was trying to do.

Meet the Florist(s)

I’m still the owner and lead designer, but I’ve brought on two other people who bring their own vision and energy. We don’t have a corporate vibe here. It’s genuinely just three people who showed up because we liked each other and we cared about the work. No one’s trying to climb a ladder or maximize profit margins. We’re just trying to make beautiful things.

The first wedding I designed was a disaster. Not the flowers—the flowers were fine—but I completely underestimated the logistics. We were supposed to install the flowers at 4 p.m., and I didn’t actually finish designing everything until 2 a.m. the morning of the wedding. The bride found out and was incredibly gracious about it, which actually made me feel worse. I promised myself I’d never do that to another couple.

Now I build extra time into every event. I design in stages. I meet with clients multiple times. Because I learned the hard way that flowers are personal, and the process matters just as much as the product.

Our Philosophy

We believe in flowers that actually reflect the person or moment they’re for. That means asking questions. A lot of questions. What’s the vibe? Who are these for? What do they actually like? What does the space look like? We’re not here to impose our aesthetic on every situation—we’re here to help you say what you need to say.

We source from five growers in Tennessee and Southern Kentucky. We work with seasonal availability. We don’t do artificial anything. We don’t believe in floral foam. We design with mechanics that are better for the flowers and better for the environment. And we’re honest about lead times and what we can actually do.

Signature Style

Our aesthetic tends toward romantic, garden-forward, and very textured. We use a lot of dahlias, garden roses, ranunculus, and hypericum. We’re heavy on greenery—eucalyptus, Italian ruscus, salal, seeded eucalyptus. We love muted colors—blush, cream, dusty rose, sage, burgundy. But we also do bold work when that’s what’s needed. We’re not dogmatic about it.

The flowers we keep in stock—what we absolutely always have—are quality roses, lisianthus, and seasonal bloomers. Everything else flexes based on what’s fresh.

What We Believe In

Flowers aren’t a luxury. They’re a form of communication. They’re how you say something when words aren’t enough. So we take that responsibility seriously. Every arrangement, every bouquet, every event installation—we’re thinking about what it means to the person receiving it.

We’re also believers in supporting local growers. We visit them, we know them, we understand their practices. Most of them have been farming for decades. When you order from us, you’re supporting not just our shop but actual farmers in our region who are doing things the right way.

Community & Sourcing

East Nashville is changing, and we’re deliberately staying rooted here. We sponsor local events. We partner with nonprofits. We show up. This is our neighborhood, and we care about its vibe staying intact—which in a place undergoing gentrification is actually kind of political. But flowers are political too, if you think about it hard enough.

Our growers are nearly all within driving distance. We visit twice a season. We know what they’re growing, what challenges they’re facing, what’s coming next. That relationship is non-negotiable for us.
